Moana is a 2016 American 3D computer-animated musical fantasy comedy adventure film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the 56th Disney animated feature film. The film was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, and co-directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams.The film features music written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa'i, and Mark Mancina.
Featuring the voices of Auli'i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Rachel House, Temuera Morrison, Jemaine Clement, Nicole Scherzinger and Alan Tudyk, the film tells the story of Moana, the strong-willed daughter of the chief in a Polynesian tribe, who is chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic with a goddess. When a blight strikes her island, Moana sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod, in the hope of saving her people.

Star Trek Beyond is a 2016 American science fiction action adventure film directed by Justin Lin from a screenplay by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, based on the series Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry. It is the thirteenth film in the Star Trek film franchise and the third installment in the reboot series, following Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness (2013). Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto reprise their roles as Captain James T. Kirk and Commander Spock, with Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, and Anton Yelchin reprising their roles from the previous films. Idris Elba, Joe Taslim, Lydia Wilson and Sofia Boutella also join the cast.

Doctor Strange is a 2016 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the fourteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Scott Derrickson, who wrote the film with Jon Spaihts and C. Robert Cargill, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Scott Adkins, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton. In Doctor Strange, surgeon Stephen Strange learns the mystic arts from the Ancient One after a career-ending car accident.
Various incarnations of a Doctor Strange film had been in development since the mid-1980s, until Paramount Pictures acquired the film rights in April 2005, on behalf of Marvel Studios. Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer were brought on board in June 2010 to write a screenplay. In June 2014, Derrickson and Spaihts were hired to direct and re-write the film, respectively. Cumberbatch was chosen for the eponymous role in December 2014, necessitating a schedule change to work around his other commitments. This gave Derrickson time to work on the script himself, for which he brought Cargill on to help. The film began principal photography in November 2015 in Nepal, before moving to the United Kingdom, and concluded in New York City in April 2016. Filming also occurred in Hong Kong.

Storks is a 2016 American 3D computer-animated adventure buddy comedy film produced by Warner Animation Group, RatPac-Dune Entertainment[1] and Stoller Global Solutions. It is directed by Nicholas Stoller and Doug Sweetland (in his feature debut), written by Stoller and stars the voices of Andy Samberg, Katie Crown, Kelsey Grammer, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Anton Starkman, Jennifer Aniston, Ty Burrell, Danny Trejo, and Stephen Kramer Glickman.
The film premiered in Los Angeles on September 17, 2016, and was released by Warner Bros. Pictures on September 23, 2016, in 3D, IMAX[3] and conventional formats. Storks has grossed over $180 million worldwide. The film received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics
When one thinks of animated family entertainment featuring a cast of kind, cuddly creatures, director Nicholas Stoller isn’t the first name that comes to mind. The helmer of “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” “The Five-Year Engagement,” and “Neighbors” (and its sequel), Stoller has built a career on crude humor and acts of humiliation, making him an unlikely mastermind behind a comical tale of birds in charge of distributing newborns to the world. Sharing a newfound interest in the PG crowd, Stoller goes full cartoon with “Storks,” but often seems confused about what he really wants from the picture, unable to decide if he’s creating something heartwarming or something obnoxious. He’s good with big and bright, but Stoller’s sense of humor is too slack to trigger laughs, which there are precious few of in this routine effort

TROLLS (2016)
Deep in the heart of a magical land, the Trolls are tiny, colorful creatures who live to spread joy and song throughout their community. The Bergens are larger, nasty monsters who can’t quite achieve joy on their own, needing to consume Trolls, digesting their happiness for a single beautiful moment. On the eve of Prince Gristle (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) receiving his first bite of Troll, prepared by Chef (Christine Baranski), the imprisoned mastermind a major escape. 20 years later, Princess Poppy (Anna Kendrick) is preparing to celebrate the anniversary of the great escape, making a ruckus while Branch (Justin Timberlake) warns her about attracting the wrong attention. When Chef emerges from banishment, spying the festivities, she collects a handful of Trolls, inspiring Poppy to cross the land and rescue her family. Pulling Branch into the mission, the pair hits the road, learning more about each other as they encounter survival challenges, making their way to Bergen headquarters.
“Trolls” is directed by Mike Mitchell, a prolific family filmmaker with credits such as “Shrek Forever After” and “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.” Mitchell knows his way around the pandemonium of CGI creatures gearing up for a long adventure in exotic locations, and that’s all the screenplay has to offer. “Trolls” isn’t completely lazy, but it doesn’t really cook up a grand challenge for the little creatures, with the Troll/Bergen conflict basic in design, with mild elements of grimness to complete the storybook approach. Instead of screenwriting, there’s music, offering a soundtrack of familiar hits to lubricate various moods and emotional arcs, including covers of “Hello,” “True Colors,” and “The Sound of Silence,” and, with Timberlake and Kendrick around, a few new tunes are unleashed. Songs are bright and bouncy, but it all feels routine after introductions are made, with the production aping other movies to make their own, unsure how to stretch a little plastic toy with no articulation into a dazzling big screen even

The Huntsman: Winter's War is a 2016 American high fantasy action adventure film based on characters from the German fairy tale "Snow White" compiled by the Brothers Grimm, as well as "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen. Both a prequel and sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman, the film takes place before and after the events of the first film. The film was directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan (in his directorial debut) and written by Craig Mazin and Evan Spiliotopoulos. Reprising their roles from the first film, the cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Nick Frost and Sam Claflin, and also introduces new actors including Emily Blunt, Rob Brydon and Jessica Chastain. The film was released in the United States on April 22, 2016.
